Course Overview

Be part of a Mayan family: To live with a local family is part of the methodology in our Spanish program. Every day you’ll be able to practice your Spanish by speaking with all the members of you Guatemalan family. During your stay you´ll get involved in the Mayan lifestyle, costumes and culture. This is an experience you won´t forget.

Home Stay Details

Experience the small village through the eyes of the locals.
Stay with a Mayan family in San Juan for full-immersion learning.
Get a private room in a safe, clean home, or a room with multiple beds for families and groups.
3 cooked meals with the family per day (except on Sundays). 6 days a week with vegetarian / vegan / gluten free options. Towels, warm showers, and filtered water are included.

You also have the option to learn the local Mayan dialect, Tz’utujil.
